Kathryn joined WASO in 2015.

Kathryn first picked up the violin at the age of 4. Kathryn started playing with youth ensembles and the Western Australian Youth Orchestra in her teenage years and became WASO’s youngest casual musician at age 16.

Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (Honours) with Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and is passionate about sharing music with the community. She regularly performs as part of WASO’s Education Ensembles in schools.

Kathryn is a co-founder of and performer in Dolce Ensembles and performs regularly with freelance ensembles across Perth.

Kathryn is married to violinist and former WASO musician Shaun Lee-Chen.
