The Role
West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is seeking a motivated and experienced fundraising Coordinator to join their high-performing Development team. The Philanthropy Co-ordinator works closely with our Development team to manage WASO’s private giving programs, deepening the connection of current donors through meaningful stewardship whilst working concurrently to cultivate new support to grow WASO’s giving community. First and foremost, the Philanthropy Co-ordinator places donors and supporters at the centre of their approach and decision-making.
The Philanthropy Co-ordinator will:
- administer and coordinate the management of all WASO donors
- be the primary contact for WASO’s donors
- Assist WASO’s Annual Giving campaign end to end
The Philanthropy Co-ordinator will be an ambassador for the company and an advocate for philanthropic culture within the greater WASO community. The individual will be highly organised, and experienced in CRM management and managing expense and income budgets. Confident, personable and compelling, the Philanthropy Co-ordinator will be a member of the Development team and make an important contribution to the orchestra’s success and ambitious vision now and in the future.
Skills Required
To be successful you will need to have tertiary qualifications or experience in a similar role and preferably an understanding of fundraising principles in a not-for-profit environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
- Highly organised, with particular attention to managing multiple stakeholder relationships, time management and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- A high level of computer literacy and ability to use CRM and data reporting systems
