Love conquers all in these romantic favourites

Carl VINE V
Felix MENDELSSOHN Violin Concerto in E minor
Georges BIZET Carmen: Suite No.1
Pyotr Ilyich TCHAIKOVSKY Romeo and Juliet – Fantasy Overture

Thaddeus Huang conductor
Harry Bennetts violin

Tchaikovsky’s Fantasy Overture portrays the intense passion, heartbreak, and transcendent love of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers in vivid detail. The soaring love theme is one of the most rapturous melodies he ever composed. Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto is lyrical, virtuosic and packed with sumptuous orchestral accompaniment. Two of Australia’s most exciting young musicians make their Classics debut in this richly romantic concert.

2021 WASO Assistant Conductor, Thaddeus Huang supported by Simon Lee Foundation.
