Mozart’s Great Mass enjoys cult status: a revered masterpiece whose dark monumentality is unique in Mozart’s sacred vocal music, and whose unfinished nature has radiated an aura of mystery down the centuries.

Mozart said of his beloved mentor ‘Haydn alone has the secret both of making me smile and of touching my innermost soul’. Haydn’s greatest mass is one of jubilation, with exuberant choral writing and virtuosic vocal solos that will fill you with hope and joy.
