WASO strings are spotlighted in the opening piece of our new Chamber series. The violin, viola and cello blend seamlessly in the only completed movement of Sibelius’ unfinished String Trio in G minor. The WASO musicians perform chamber music for the modern age with Olli Mustonen’s Nonet No.2 before we return to the Romantic period with Schubert’s thrilling Octet in F, the pinnacle of his chamber writing career.
We will do everything in our power to present the program listed but we may have to vary the repertoire or artists. If that happens, we will let you know.
