IMPORTANT UPDATE: Symphonic Stories Postponed Until Further Notice

Following the Perth 3-day lockdown to stop the spread of COVID-19, some restrictions remain in place for gatherings and events for this week.

These Government restrictions make the Morning Symphony performance of Symphonic Stories at 11am Thursday 29 April not possible, as Perth Concert Hall will be closed for public events.

The safety of our staff, artists, patrons and the general public is always our priority.

Please hold on to your tickets. We are working with the artists to identify a possible rescheduled date and will advise you in the coming fortnight. There is no need to call or email the box office - we will contact you shortly. We appreciate your patience during this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

A grand symphony and Czech rhapsodies

Wolfgang Amadeus MOZART Symphony No.35 Haffner
Bedřich SMETANA Má Vlast: Vlatava (The Moldau)
Leoš JANÁČEK Taras bulba

Johannes Fritzsch conductor

Johannes Fritzsch, Principal Conductor of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, makes a much-anticipated return to WASO with Mozart’s grand Haffner symphony. Janaček’s Taras Bulba depicts the story of the ‘free man’ in an adventurous 19th century novel, and Smetana’s heartfelt ode to his beloved Czech homeland will have you humming as you leave.
