The State Theatre Centre of WA is just a stone’s throw away from Perth Station and Perth Busport, making public transport a great option for travelling to and from the theatre. Due to the Perth Cultural Centre rejuvenation project, the best way to access the venue from Perth Station is via Yagan Square.
The Transperth JourneyPlanner provides up-to-date information to help you find the best route.

Wheelchair seating – Row H includes designated wheelchair seats and is accessible by lift. All other rows are accessible by steps. The venue has two wheelchairs available on site which can be requested for use prior to the performance. Assisted hearing system – The State Theatre Centre uses Listen Technologies RF Transmitters in both the Heath Ledger Theatre and Studio Underground. These devices can be used with headphones (provided or you can use your own) or by using a hearing aid with a T-Switch when headphones aren’t plugged into the lanyard. Patrons wanting to use this service should approach the Front of House Manager before the performance to collect a beltpack for use inside the venue. Please note, no mobile phone apps work with the State Theatre Centre system.
Companion cards are accepted for all WASO performances at Studio Underground.
