Buses to UWA are frequent, covering routes from City of Perth, Subiaco, Morley and along Stirling Highway. The Transperth JourneyPlanner provides up-to-date information to help you find the best route. Bus services alight on Stirling Highway at the northern end of the campus, a short (3min) walk from Winthrop Hall.
Parking at UWA is free every day after 5pm and all day on weekends. Please check parking signs on arrival. Paid parking via the Easy Park app applies Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
The closest car parks to Winthrop hall are all within a 3-5minute walk to the venue:
- Car Park 1 (UWA Recreation Centre).3mins walk
- Car Park 52 (Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery), 3mins walk
- Car Park 5 (The University Club of WA) 5mins walk
Car Park 5 is the preferred parking location for patrons who have pre-concert dinner reservations at The University Club of WA. See Food & Beverage (link to) options below for more details.

Lift Access – there are a dozen steps at the main entry to the auditorium. Patrons may use a lift from ground level, which is located on the south-west corner of the building. Access to the lift lobby is through an automated swing door activated by pressing the green button. An accessible toilet is also located next to the lift. Please note, Winthrop Hall gallery seating is not accessible by lift.
Wheelchair seating – these are available on booking, and are located on the outside ends of the rows. If you have booked standard tickets and your accessibility needs have changed, please advise the WASO team by email boxoffice@waso.com.au or call 08 9326 0000.
ACROD Parking bays are located at Car Park 1 and Car Park 5 and are subject to availability. A limited number of pre-arranged ACROD Parking bays are available and can be reserved through the WASO Ticketing & Customer Service team by calling 08 9326 0000. Pre-arranged ACROD Parking bays should be requested at least 7 days prior to each performance and your request must be confirmed by WASO before your arrival.
Companion Cards are accepted for all WASO performances at Winthrop Hall.
Winthrop Hall is not equipped with a hearing loop.
Winthrop Hall Drinks and Bar Menu, available from 6:30pm
A selection of finger sandwiches, mini tartlets, dips and mezze are available on arrival at Winthrop Hall with wine, beer and soft-drink at the Undercroft Bar. Drinks purchased at the Winthrop Hall Bar may be taken into the auditorium.
Pre-Concert Dining at The University Club, available from 5:30pm
WASO ticket holders receive University Club Member discounts available for all pre-concert dining, on presentation of your ticket.
The Club Café (no reservation required) is open before each concert for casual counter-service dining, and this is where you can enjoy substantial hot meals such as grilled steak or fish, pasta and gourmet burgers as well as lighter options including salads and noodle dishes.

The Club Restaurant (reservations required) provides a sumptuous menu in the formal dining room which includes a wide range of entrees and main course meals. You can select from the à la carte menu or choose the Club Pairing Plate which includes a three course dinner with the option to match your meal with West Australian wines.
