West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Iain Grandage to our Board of Directors

Iain Grandage is one of Australia’s most highly regarded collaborative artists. From 2020 to 2024 Iain was the Artistic Director of Perth Festival and is currently a Commissioner on the Board of Tourism WA. During his acclaimed 30-year career Iain has had a longstanding relationship with WASO as an independent artist, through various collaborations with Perth Festival, and as a former WASO Composer in Residence.

WASO Chair Richard Goyder AO said Iain is highly respected in the arts sector at both the State and National levels, leading many major events focussed on connecting with community.

“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Iain by welcoming him to the Board and are confident that the extensive breadth and depth of his experience will be of great benefit to WASO”.
