Asher Fisch opens 2025 with one of the greatest of all symphonies, Beethoven’s Fifth. From the instantly recognisable opening to the triumphant finale, the dramatic power of Beethoven’s Fifth has captivated audiences for over 200 years. Pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk returns to WASO to perform Rachmaninov’s dazzling Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and we celebrate the opening of WASO’s MACA Symphonic Series at Winthrop Hall with a specially commissioned work by UWA’s Chair of Composition, James Ledger..
