Based on the legendary tales of the One Thousand and One Nights, Rimsky-Korsakov’s intoxicating Scheherazade is an exotic, timeless fantasy. Brimming with sensuality and wonder, this audience favourite tells the story of Scheherazade, a beautiful princess who every night weaves ever-more enchanting tales to stave off her execution.

But first, Iain Grandage’s Dances with Devils depicts Australian gothic stories in a vividly dynamic concerto especially written for Australian percussionist Claire Edwardes.
