Richard Wagner’s thrilling overture sets the scene for this side-by-side spectacular with ANAM and WASO. Alban Berg’s extravagant Three Pieces for Orchestra is a constantly unfolding kaleidoscope of colours and textures that stretch expressive boundaries.
From menacing Mars to jolly Jupiter and the ethereal beauty of Neptune, Holst’s enduringly popular masterpiece The Planets is a thrilling musical journey that vividly traverses the mysteries and magnificence of our Solar System.
